Welcome to Midnight
Midnight is a space for spontaneous, low-pressure sharing. Post what's on your mind, ask a question, vent, or just say something small — and by tomorrow, it's gone. No pressure, no permanent record, no highlight reel to keep up with.
That freedom only works if everyone feels safe here. These guidelines exist to keep it that way.
Our Values
- Be yourself. Midnight works best when people feel comfortable sharing honestly.
- Be kind. Someone on the other side of every post is a real person having a real day.
- Respect the moment. Content here is temporary by design — treat what people share with the same care you'd want for your own.
What's Not Allowed
Harassment and Bullying
Don't target, threaten, or pile on other users. Disagreement is fine — cruelty isn't.
Hate Speech and Discrimination
Content that attacks or demeans people based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or similar traits isn't welcome here.
Illegal Content
Anything illegal is off-limits — this absolutely includes any sexual content involving minors, which will result in an immediate and permanent ban and may be reported to law enforcement.
Self-Harm and Suicide Content
Content that promotes, glorifies, or encourages self-harm or suicide is not allowed on Midnight. If you're struggling, please reach out to someone — a friend, family member, or the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline (call or text 988 in the US), any time, day or night.
Impersonation and Spam
Don't pretend to be someone you're not. Don't use Midnight to spam, scam, or push unauthorized promotions.
Sharing Others' Private Information
Don't post someone else's private information — like their address, phone number, or other identifying details — without their permission.
Reporting and Blocking
See something that crosses the line? You've got two tools. Report flags a post or comment for our team to review — reporting is anonymous to the person you report, and we keep a record of reports for a limited time so we can review them properly and spot repeat problems (see our Privacy Policy for details). Block hides a user from you and you from them, immediately, no review needed — use this any time someone's content isn't for you, no report necessary.
How Enforcement Works
We're a small team, and right now every report is reviewed by an actual human — not an algorithm. That means it might take us a bit to get to yours, but it also means a real person is looking, not a filter. Depending on what we find, we may remove content, warn a user, or suspend or ban an account.
We're always working to make this faster and better as Midnight grows.
